Join us for an art reception celebrating Montana Art Therapy Association’s Under the Surface exhibit on display at the Bigfork Library from June through August 2025. Learn about art therapy and mental health in a presentation starting at 10:30am, followed by an experiential mixed media/collage art-making workshop.

DIY Paper Lantern Craft to Celebrate the Bridge Street Bridge

Come decorate a paper lantern, then join us for the Bridge Street Bridge Ribbon Cutting Ceremony! In partnership with the Montana Department of Transportation, Flathead County, and the Bigfork Chamber of Commerce, paper lantern supplies will be available all week long at the Library. Art Bingo

Bingo continues this summer with an art theme! Pick up an Art Bingo board at any library location this summer and challenge yourself to try different art techniques and mediums, and discover new artists. Get a bingo and win a collectible sticker.

Local Author Discussion with Butch Larcombe

Local author Butch Larcombe will present, “A Clearly Unscientific Discussion on Colorful People and Events in the History of Flathead Lake”. Butch is a lifelong Montana resident currently living in Woods Bay, and the author of several books including “Historic Tales of Flathead Lake”.

Intro to Letterpress

Join maker Kay Lyle of Manicule Studio this summer at each Flathead County Library location for a chance to try your hand at using a Letterpress. Come between 1-5pm to print a small poster using the letterpress! This program will be in Kalispell on June 30 and Columbia Falls August 12. Visit Bigfork July 15 for a full hands-on “Intro to Letterpress” workshop when Kay will cover the basics of setting vintage wood type, applying ink, and printing.

Join instructors Diane Denney and Susie Hill for genealogy classes for individuals and families aged 13 and older. Learn personal researching skills, connect with family history groups, and get expert help navigating genealogical sites. This program will repeat every 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month in Bigfork.
