Art Bingo

Bingo continues this summer with an art theme! Pick up an Art Bingo board at any library location this summer and challenge yourself to try different art techniques and mediums, and discover new artists. Get a bingo and win a collectible sticker.

All locations: June 1 – August 31

Therapeutic Art Techniques Workshop

Learn several therapeutic art techniques for self-care taught by board-certified art therapist and licensed counselor, Allyson Norwood Bush. No experience necessary and all materials provided. This is an art education group, not art therapy, and sponsored by the Montana Art Therapy Association.

Bigfork Arnlund Community Room: Saturday July 12, 11am – 1pm

Intro to Letterpress

Join maker Kay Lyle of Manicule Studio for a full hands-on “Intro to Letterpress” workshop covering the basics of setting vintage wood type, applying ink, and printing. This workshop is for adults.

Bigfork: July 15, 2-5pm

Intuitive Painting Workshop with Sierra Benjamin

Whether you create art for a living or struggle to draw a stick figure, intuitive painting is a joyful way to make your mark. We will silence our inner critics, relax, and enjoy the creative process. This class focuses on settling into a playful creative rhythm and having a great time. Everyone’s finished painting will look completely different!

Mini Portable Painting Kit

Stop in to the Columbia Falls branch library to build your own tiny set for painting miniature works of art on the go! Fill your portable tin with a wooden canvas, variety of paint colors, and a mini brush while supplies last.

Columbia Falls: July 21 – 26

Join instructors Diane Denney and Susie Hill for genealogy classes for individuals and families aged 13 and older. Learn personal researching skills, connect with family history groups, and get expert help navigating genealogical sites. This program will repeat every 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month in Bigfork.
