Bird Bingo

Library Bingo continues this fall! We’ve collaborated with the Flathead Audubon Society to bring you a bird theme! Pick up a Bird Bingo board at any library location this fall and challenge yourself to spot different species, improve habitats, and maybe read a bird book or two. Get a bingo and win a collectible sticker.

Seed Cleaning & Packing Party

Join our friends from Land to Hand for another round of seed cleaning and seed packing parties at the library! Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome to join us as we either separate and clean seeds, or label and spoon seeds into envelopes. Stop by these family friendly events and help us restock the Columbia Falls Library’s seed library, and save seeds for next year’s Free the Seeds event.

Audubon Christmas Bird Count Presentation

Join us for the final presentation of our Audubon collaboration with Denny Olson, a retired bird educator with a long history in conservation and education. Denny will explain how the Christmas Bird Count works, why it matters for birds and bird watchers alike, and how you can participate

Community Library Tour

You’re invited to a fun and informative tour of your public library! Get a behind-the-scenes look into how your tax dollars work to bring great library services to the Flathead Valley! The second Wednesday of each month at 11 am at your Kalispell Public Library. Tours are approximately 45 minutes long.

Columbia Falls: November 17-22 during open hours

Nature Painting Class

Appreciate the beauty of nature through observation and painting. Join local artist and library staff, Lauren, in a guided nature painting lesson. The library will provide materials or you can bring your own supplies. This class is for people 16+ and is limited to 8 people.

Genealogy Classes

Join instructors from Kalispell’s FamilySearch Center for genealogy classes geared toward individuals and families aged 13 and older. Learn personal researching skills, connect with family history groups, and get expert help navigating genealogical sites. This program will repeat every 1st and 3rd Tuesday in Kalispell and every 2nd and 4th Tuesday in Bigfork.

Bigfork Community Room: Tuesday, Nov. 25, 10:30am – 12:30pm (no class 2nd Tuesday, Nov 11 in honor of Veterans’ Day)

Creative Aging with Megan Canning: Slow Stitching Sampler Class

Join a small group of adults (ages 55+) led by mixed-media textile artist Megan Canning for a free 5-week class series exploring a variety of embroidery stitches. Through the gentle, meditative practice of slow stitching, participants will discover how working with thread can open new pathways to creativity. This workshop series invites you to embrace imperfection, explore new techniques, and build social connections. All class supplies provided. Please plan to commit to all five classes when you sign up.
