Genealogy Classes
Join instructors from Kalispell’s FamilySearch Center for genealogy classes geared toward individuals and families aged 13 and older. Learn personal researching skills, connect with family history groups, and get expert help navigating genealogical sites. This program will repeat every 2nd and 4th Tuesday in Bigfork.

History of Fire in Bigfork
Discover how wildfire has influenced the Bigfork area over time with FVCC Forest Management instructor Rick Trembath, who brings decades of experience in both wildland and structural fire. From traditional Native American fire stewardship to landmark events like the Stoner Fire of 1934 and the 2021 East Shore Fire, Rick will share the stories and science behind some of the town’s most significant fires. Learn what the past can teach us about staying safer and more prepared in the years ahead.

Celebrate spring! Learn to identify some of Flathead Lake’s local wildflowers and explore their unique adaptations. Slow down with a simple outdoor art activity to help you notice and remember the beauty of the wildflowers. Meet at the Bigfork Library, at the Laura Long Patio. We will walk together to the Wayfarers Unit of Flathead Lake State Park.
