Reading Road Trip
Travel the country…one book at a time! Pick up a map and start your journey across the United States through reading. The challenge: read at least one book from each if six regions to win a library tote bag! If you’re feeling adventurous, read a book from all 50 states to win a t-shirt. A book qualifies if: the author is from the state OR the story takes place in that state. Fiction or nonfiction both count!

Twice as Tasty Pickling Workshop with Julie Laing
Learn how to safely pickle almost any vegetable with Julie Laing, author of The Complete guide to Pickling as she explains the science behind quick, refrigerator, fermented, and shelf-stable pickles. Julie will demonstrate how to make refrigerator pickles and provide brine and produce so you can fill a jar of pickles to take home. Bring a pint-sized wide-mouth jar with an airtight lid, and arrive on time as space is limited.

This place-based talk explores how Indigenous stories, history, and lived relationships with land shape conservation in real and practical ways.

Genealogy Classes
Join instructors from Kalispell’s FamilySearch Center for genealogy classes geared toward individuals and families aged 13 and older. Learn personal researching skills, connect with family history groups, and get expert help navigating genealogical sites. This program will repeat every 2nd and 4th Tuesday.

Join audiobook narrator Eve Passeltiner and mystery author Leslie Budewitz, both multiple award winners, for a conversation on how a book moves from print to audio. Library staff will talk about Montana’s Talking Books program and offer help with the Libby audiobooks program.
