The Youth Services team at Flathead County Library plans and implements early literacy programs for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers in Kalispell, Bigfork, and Columbia Falls. Our goal in every Storytime is to connect with young children and their caregivers through books, songs, and interactive activities that foster early literacy and social emotional skills. We are excited to welcome WorkshopMT to the library with a new program for kids in 4th through 8th grade! Learn how to use basic woodworking tools and take home a bird feeder built with your own hands. In this 3‑hour program, children are expected to participate for the full duration and must be dropped off by a parent or guardian. Wednesday Workshop is our afterschool program for kids in grades K-5. Each week there is a new activity, driven by our themes of STEAM, LEGO challenges, and Games. This year, we've also partnered up with our local outdoor education community. These local experts are excited to bring hands-on activities for school age kids in the library!
