The Youth Services team at Flathead County Library plans and implements early literacy programs for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers in Kalispell, Bigfork, and Columbia Falls. Our goal in every Storytime is to connect with young children and their caregivers through books, songs, and interactive activities that foster early literacy and social emotional skills.

Some of us have pets at home, and some of us dream about the pets we might have someday! In this storytime, we made lots of animal noises, moved our bodies like animals do, and we celebrated pets of all kinds!

- Keva Planks and Animal Figurines
- Keva planks offer endless building opportunities, and this week we paired them with a variety of animal figurines. The kids made houses, bridges, towers, and more!
- Animal Matching Game
- In this game, kids match up halves of animals to find pairs of upper- and lower-case letters, and to form simple sight words.
- Dot Marker Art
- Dot markers are a familiar favorite in our collection of art supplies! This week kids created designs on half sheets of paper. They made rainbows, ocean scenes, and more!
