The Youth Services team at Flathead County Library plans and implements early literacy programs for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers in Kalispell, Bigfork, and Columbia Falls. Our goal in every Storytime is to connect with young children and their caregivers through books, songs, and interactive activities that foster early literacy and social emotional skills. Slow Stitching Sampler Class Join a small group of adults (ages 55+) led by mixed-media textile artist Megan Canning for a free 5-week class series exploring a variety of embroidery stitches. Through the gentle, meditative practice of slow stitching, participants will discover how working with thread can open new pathways to creativity. Flathead County Library will host a Montana Poet Lecture Series featuring celebrated Montana poets as a part of the “Montana Conversations” program sponsored by Humanities Montana. The presentations will be located in the Community Room at the Bigfork Library and are free and open to the public.
